Parker AD-51225 is a genuine Aquacon® Diesel (AD) filter element (formerly sold under the Velcon brand) that removes both particulate and water from diesel and biodiesel fuel. Its pleated 25-micron particulate media is layered with water-absorbing media, so it traps dirt, rust and water in a single element.

The 25-micron AD elements work well for controlling contamination coming into bulk tanks and fuel dispensing systems.

Fitment Notes

This is a replacement filter element only. It does not include the filter housing, head, gauge or mounting hardware.

Before ordering, check that your housing uses the 5-5/8" x 12-1/4" AD-5 size element. This element is not for fuels with high alcohol content. The water-absorbing media doesn't work in those fuels.

Application

Aquacon AD elements remove free and emulsified water from diesel and biodiesel down to below 50 ppm. They help fuel meet ISO 4406 and ASTM D975 cleanliness standards. If a slug of water enters the system, the element restricts flow sharply to keep that water from passing downstream.

As the element absorbs water and holds dirt, the differential pressure rises. Replace it when the pressure reaches 25 psid, or sooner if flow drops noticeably.

Other Micron Ratings

This element also comes in the same 5-5/8" x 12-1/4" size in other micron ratings:

  • AD-5122: 2 micron, for final dispensing filtration

  • AD-5125: 5 micron, for final dispensing filtration

  • AD-51210: 10 micron, for tank inlet and bulk fuel

  • AD-51225: 25 micron, for tank inlet and bulk fuel (this item)
