Racor RK30770 In-Line Fuel Check Valve Kit – 3/8" NPTF, Diesel
Racor RK30770 is a genuine in-line check valve kit for Racor fuel filter/water separators with 3/8" NPTF inlet ports. It lets fuel flow toward the filter and stops it from draining back to the tank when the engine is off. This keeps the fuel system primed, so the engine is easier to restart.
The check valve is fully enclosed and made of corrosion-resistant aluminum for long service life in diesel fuel systems.

Fitment Notes
This kit is a check valve only. It does not include a filter, hose, hose barbs or thread sealant.
Before ordering, check that your filter's inlet port is 3/8" NPTF. For filters with 1/4" NPTF inlet ports, use the Racor RK31610 check valve kit instead.
Install the valve so the flow direction matches the direction of fuel flow into the filter. Use a fuel-rated thread sealant on the pipe threads. Not for use with gasoline.
Application
A check valve helps keep diesel fuel from draining back to the tank. This is especially useful when the filter sits above the fuel tank, or on engines that lose prime and are hard to start after sitting. It's common on marine, generator and equipment fuel systems.
Inspect the check valve during filter service. Debris from the tank can keep the valve from sealing, which can cause the system to lose prime.
